Biography

Martin Soderberg is a Swedish-American Pianist, Composer and Teacher. As a pianist he has frequently performed in Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia. As a recording artist, Martin Soderberg is currently in production of Vol. 5 of his collection "Piano Music from Latin America". This project includes recordings of well known as well as rare piano works by composers from all over Latin America. As a devoted piano teacher, he has taught students privately and in master classes for over 40 years, and continues to work with young pianists from all over the world via skype or zoom.

MUSICAL TALES FOR STUDENTS is a collection of one minute piano compositions with an inspiring text. It aims at creating a soothing, relaxing mood in the listener while reflecting on a positive message. By making these pieces only one minute long, I challenged myself to meet the fast pace of a young person's life and adapt the music to their social media habits, hoping to help the listener reach a meditative, reflective state in a very short time. What made me start this collection was the insistence of my students to write pieces for them in a more "popular" (less classical) style. I hope you enjoy them:
